This might be the easiest side you make for your holiday table! Why buy canned, sugar-laden cranberry sauce (or that bizarre can-shaped jelly!) when you can have fresh cranberries that are as beautiful as they are tasty? Try this quick recipe for yourself!
1 bag (12 oz) fresh cranberries, rinsed and drained
1/3 cup honey
2 apples (such as honeycrisp, fuji, or granny smith) peeled, cored, and diced
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
stevia (we prefer liquid) to taste
Place cranberries in a nonstick saucepan and add 1/2 cup of water. Add honey, chopped apples, and the pulp from inside each orange section, discarding the casing.
Cook over medium-high heat until all the cranberries have “popped,” stirring frequently.
Remove from heat and add stevia to desired sweetness.
Transfer to bowl or serving dish and chill before serving.
